Peavine Creek in Burbanck ParkThe newest park in Druid Hills is taking shape and improvements are on the horizon. A local builder was selected by the Burbanck Park Development Committee to conduct Phase I Development of the park, pending approval from the DeKalb Historic Preservation Committee. The approved plan includes a budget of $28,000 with the following improvements being made: • The existing foundation and stairs will be removed and the site will be restored to its natural vegetative state; • An entry column, with permanent signage, will be placed near the driveway on Clifton Road; • Benches will be placed throughout the park for seating; • A path will lead from the end of the driveway and loop down to the creek; • A permanent donor plaque will be attached to the existing granite wall; and • The driveway will be trimmed to create an inviting foot path. A community clean-up and workday and a Phase I Development dedication ceremony are planned for later this summer. Visit www.cliftoncommunitypartnership.org for details.

You could have told where Burbanck Park is located. I never heard that name before.
