There’s a growing trend to support businesses that further support the environment.
Enterprise Rent-A-Car at the Emory Conference Center Hotel is helping to drive the charge by owning one of the most fuel efficient fleets in Atlanta. Last month, they were selected as one of the first “green” branches in the city to provide 30 percent hybrid vehicles and 30 percent fuel efficient vehicles to customers.
The Emory location was selected because Enterprise wanted to target communities where there is a budding interest in reducing the impact that people have on the environment.
Additional metro Atlanta locations that rent “green” fleets include Buckhead, downtown and Dunwoody. Among the four “green” branches, customers can have their pick of over 100 hybrid vehicles, including Toyota Prius’ and Camrys. To request a fuel efficient or hybrid vehicle, customers call any of the four local branches directly, make a reservation and request a “green” vehicle.
Hybrid cars rent for the same price as premium cars. Fuel efficient cars rent for their daily price, with no additional charge.
Zipcar Cruises to the Neighborhood
Zipcar, a national car sharing service, recently merged with Flexcar. At an hourly rate of $9, Zipcar members can rent hybrid vehicles without the hassle of paying for gas and insurance.
