Turman Residence Hall, which opened its doors to Emory freshmen last August, recently received LEED silver certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. Turman is the first in a series of halls that will comprise Emory’s freshman housing complex. The second phase of the complex, Freshman 2 and 3, is currently under construction for future LEED gold certification. Emory continues to have more “green” certified buildings by square footage than any other university in the country.
