"Great Works Seminar" at Emory Focuses on Jane Austen's Novels

Calling all Jane Austen fans – Emory University is sponsoring a five-session seminar on the works of the renowned English novelist beginning Wednesday, Sept. 17. The course, the first in a series of "Great Works Seminars," is free and open to the public, although space is limited.
The reading will be led by Emory history professor, Judith A Miller, a specialist of 18th century European cultural history. The seminar is designed for the general reader who has an interest in learning more about Austen’s work. Participants can expect discussions about the novels as well as an examination of the cultural and historical perspectives of Austen’s work. Class participants will also be provided with a copy of “The Complete Novels of Jane Austen.”
The seminar will meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on the third Wednesday of the month for five sessions:

•Nov. 19
•Jan. 21
•Feb. 18
