Community Planning Project for Lindbergh/LaVista Area
August 26, 2008
Source: Community Partnership Update/September 2008
The Lindbergh LaVista Corridor Coalition (LLCC) recently kicked off a partnership with the Georgia Conservancy and Georgia Tech’s City and Regional Planning Program for the next Blueprints for Successful Communities planning project, scheduled for August through December 2008.
The public is encouraged to participate in the Blueprints planning process, which will include four meetings during the four-month period.
The Blueprints project focuses on the area defined by I-85/GA 400 to the west, Sheridan Road to the north, Briarcliff Road to the east and the CSX rail line to the south – also looking at opportunities beyond these boundaries. Some areas to be addressed in the Blueprints process include major transportation initiatives, pedestrian needs, natural resource opportunities and redevelopment of urban design issues.
