Kids Dish It Up Over Spring Break
March 24, 2009
Source: Community Partnership Update/April 2009
Spring Break is almost here and Young Chefs Academy has a recipe for fun and adventure in the kitchen for kids.
What to do when breakfast has been bungled, lunch is a loser or you have a dinner dilemma? Rescue those recipes with help from the Young Chefs Academy (in the Toco Hills Shopping Center).
Your young chef will problem solve recipe disasters and kitchen mishaps for a fun-filled week April 6 through 9, 9:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. Cooking apprentices will learn how to create a successful recipe and quick-fix recipe blunders.
All meals will be fair game, including breakfast, lunch and dinner. Young chefs will learn at least three recipes each day in a fun, hands-on and safe environment. To add to the excitement, there will be games, arts and crafts projects and tons of fun!
Space is limited and children age 5 -- 13 are welcome. For more information, visit www.youngchefsacademy.com.
Young Chefs Academy's environment gives kids the opportunity to discover the importance of cooking while building self-confidence and improving math, science, reading and social studies (via multicultural cuisine) skills.
