The 2009 Georgia General Assembly session has only five days left to pass a transportation funding bill this year. The House and Senate have both passed their own transportation funding bills, both by wide margins and with bipartisan support. The Senate passed a bill allowing metro Atlanta and other counties in Georgia to pick projects and call a regional or local referendum. The House passed a bill calling a statewide referendum with projects identified.
