Celebrity Chef Leads Cooking Demonstration at Emory Farmers Market
April 27, 2009

tomatoesBring your market bags to the weekly farmers market held Tuesdays from 2 to 6 p.m. on Emory's Cox Hall Bridge. Market vendors provide a wide variety of local, sustainable, healthy products, including organic produce, artisan breads, cheeses, farm fresh eggs, fresh salsas, handmade pasta, honey, organic nuts and much more!

Tomato time is a celebration of a classic summertime favorite. From 2 to 3 p.m. on Aug. 25, Chef Virginia Willis, author of "Bon Appétit, Y'all! Three Generations of Southern Cooking," will demonstrate how to use tomatoes in Chef Willis' tomato and black-eye pea salad. Additionally, those who would like to purchase a tomato-centric lunch can do so inside Cox Hall. Chef Willis' gazpacho with tarragon crème fraiche will also be sold outside at the Emory Farmers Market.

FREE parking is available after 4:30 p.m. in the Fishburne and Peavine parking decks.
