Site planning is in progress for Emory’s new graduate housing complex on Briarcliff Road near the Sage Hill shopping center. The facility will be built in partnership with Campus Apartments, Inc.

Campus Apartments, Inc. has committed to achieving "green" residential EarthCraft certification for the complex and the development will comply with the University’s applicable tree-loss policies.

The housing project will target Emory’s graduate and professional students and provide unique sustainable features such as a lower parking ratio than normally required by DeKalb County. Sidewalk and bike lane improvements will also be made to nearby roads.

The University will promote the use of its alternative transportation programs – which include Cliff shuttles, Zipcar, Bike Emory and others – to residents traveling to and from campus and to nearby businesses. A new Cliff stop will also be included in the development plans for this site.

Graduate students will move into the 210-unit complex in August 2009.
