Gerstein ReportA film directed by two Emory students, "The Gerstein Report," walked away with "Best Drama" honors at this year's Campus Movie Fest (CMF) International Grand Finale competition.

The movie tells the story of a Nazi scientist who compiles a report that chronicles his involvement in the massacre of Jews. This is the second honor this year for student directors Matt Fennell and Matt Ryckman. This past spring, their movie won "Best Drama" during CMF's southern regional competition.

CMF -- the largest student film festival in the world -- has its roots at Emory. Eight years ago, four Emory students wanted to help other students make movies. Not quite a decade later, more than 45,000 students in the U.S. and U.K. have participated. They receive the necessary technology and training for free thanks to corporate partners and schools.
