The Clifton Community Partnership (CCP) is a framework for residents, employers, employees, businesses and local governments to talk, share ideas and collaborate in ways that will improve the quality of life in the area. We invite dialogue, creativity and the partnerships that will make this area a thriving, vibrant, walkable community.The Clifton Community Partnership initiative calls for: - Vibrant activity centers that combine local shops, restaurants, entertainment and activities for our community. - Pedestrian friendly streetscapes that create safe, wide sidewalks and a consistent attractive urban design. - Transportation choices to reduce the number of single occupancy vehicles on our roads. - Housing near the workplace that allows employees to live close to their jobs and take advantage of alternative transportation.

How does the CCP fit into Emorys Strategic Plan?

The collaboration between Emory and the CCP supports the Emory Universitys Strategic Plan and its challenge: Creating Community Engaging Society. Through the CCP, Emory is putting strategic plan initiatives in action. Many CCP projects support Emory Sustainability Initiatives which promote healthy eco-systems and environmental stewardship.

How will the CCP encourage community input?

The CCP initiated a significant outreach and engagement effort which includes a dynamic community web site, a monthly newsletter and periodic community workshops. We established an advisory group of neighborhood, business, institutional and civic leaders representing broad and varied interests within the greater Clifton community. The group serves as advisors to Emory on several early initiatives including the Clifton Road Mixed Use Project and development of the urban design guidelines.
