Zipcar

Emory was the first employer in Atlanta to bring Zipcar (previously Flexcar) to campus. This service is car sharing, where anyone can reserve a car from several campus locations, and use it at an hourly fee.

The benefit to commuters is that they can run errands and make short trips from campus, while commuting to work via alternative transportation.

Car sharing is convenient and saves money. Gas, insurance and a reserved parking space are all included in the hourly fee.

Currently there are seven Zipcars conveniently located on Emory's campus:

Peavine parking deck

Lowergate South parking deck

Michael Street parking deck

209 Dowman Drive

Starvine Way/Clairmont Deck

In addition to the seven Zipcars located on campus, there are over 100 Zipcars strategically placed throughout Atlanta.
